Hugging Face ZeroGPU

Hugging Face Spaces ZeroGPU

ZeroGPU is a shared GPU behind demos on Hugging Face Spaces. A free account can run those demos for a few minutes a day. It is a way to try a model, not a place to train one.

Free at the published daily quota. Paid plans raise the quota. Over-quota time for paying users is billed.

Who it is for

Anyone. Signed-out visitors get a shorter quota than a free account. Hosting your own ZeroGPU Space on a free account needs a verified email, an account older than 30 days, and good standing, and is limited to two Spaces.

What you get

Short bursts of NVIDIA GPU time inside a Space. The Hugging Face enterprise plan table lists 5 minutes a day for a free account. The quota resets 24 hours after your first use of the day. A larger GPU size spends the quota faster.

How to get it

  1. Create a free Hugging Face account and verify the email.
  2. Open a Space that says it uses ZeroGPU, and run the demo.
  3. Expect a few minutes, not an afternoon. If the quota table says 5 minutes, believe the table over a blog.
  4. For training, switch to Kaggle, a campus GPU, or a rental. ZeroGPU will not finish an AlphaFold run or a large fine-tune.

Deadlines

There is no published closing date. Apply when your one-page description is ready. An empty calendar file would only pretend otherwise, so this page does not invent a reminder.

Read this before you apply

  • A draft of the docs has shown 3.5 minutes for free accounts while other official pages show 5. Check the live quota table.
  • You are a guest in someone else’s app unless you host a Space yourself.
  • Do not put confidential data into a public Space.

Check before you rely on this

  • Free-tier daily minutes have been listed as both 5 and 3.5 on official Hugging Face pages. Re-check the quota table.
